Participation at Greek Cybercrime Center 2nd 2-day Training Seminar

UINFC2 participated at the 2nd Two-day Seminar of the Greek Centre for Cybercrime (GCC) held on 20th & 21st  November 2014, at Athens Park Hotel, with the participation of representatives from the European Cybercrime Center (EC3) of Europol, the European Union’s Judicial Cooperation Unit (Eurojust),  the European Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA), Hellenic Data Protection Authority, Hellenic Authority for Communication Security and Privacy, National CERT, Judicial Personnel and Prosecutors, Hellenic Police Law Enforcement Officers, Hellenic Coast Guard Officers, Private Sector personnel and members of the academic community.

During the seminar current developments, prevention and awareness methodologies regarding Cybercrime were presented and discussed in thematic units, towards establishing a common understanding and optimizing the cooperation of all involved stakeholders. These sessions, included, among others:

  • Overview of Emerging Threats in Cyberspace
  • Legal Aspects of Cyber Security and Legal Informatics
  • Practical Hands-On-Training on Basic Principles of Digital Forensics, Mobile Devices Threats and Malware Forensics
  • Methods / Procedures for Cyber Attacks Reporting
  • Social Media Exploitation from Law Enforcement Agents
  • Cybercrime Awareness Raising Initiatives
  • European and International Cooperation on Cyber Crime
  • Protection of Communications Privacy and Personal Data on the Internet
